Jesus does not force anyone to follow Him. He invites. He invites us to come and see who He is and where He dwells. It´s the same invitation He gave His early disciples in the Gospel of St. John. It’s an open invitation, a valid invitation and it´s for all of us. It’s an offer to come and learn about the love of God. “Come and see!” Jesus bids us. He welcomes us, offers us to enter into a relationship with Him. A relationship that does not depend on how much we believe, but rather on our willingness to follow Him and to learn about Him.
Each one of us longs for something, and I personally believe, that our longing, though it may not be recognized or expressed as such, is a thirst for God. The human heart however has been given the freedom to seek God and to know Him. We have been giving the freedom to accept Jesus’ invitation to “Come and See!”. I have accepted mine, and I dedicate this website to reflections on my walk with Him. My blog will be a mind travel. It will be a look into a heart enlightened by Faith, Hope and Love. Follow me as I step into the world, a broken world, to bring about Hope. A Hope that is found in a God of Faith and a God of Love. I truly believe I have found someone who helps me make sense of life, so won’t you “Come and see”? Won’t you come and see what finding Jesus means. Come and see for yourself what a difference faith makes in lives of people.
Come and see, Christ living in me. Some of Jesus’ first words as He entered into His earthly ministry were: “Repent, and believe in the Gospel”. To repent is to turn around and live differently and to see things differently. It’s about deciding what you want from life. It’s about realizing what’s true and what’s not. It’s a yes to God. It’s not just confessing. It’s not just feeling sorry. It’s to believe, truly believe, that there is a place, where you belong. A place where you are fully accepted. A place of freedom, fulfillment and peace. A place made for you and kept for you. An eternal place with your name on it, made by God and with God. A place where you are willed. To repent is the first step in the walk of a pilgrim towards this place.
